For Duct Smoke Detectors

The all weather outdoor enclosure is specifically designed to protect the duct smoke detector from harsh elements. This enclosure provides protection in outdoor installation against rain, sleet, snow or indoors against dripping water and provides a thermal insulation barrier when installed on insulated a/c duct systems, typically in conjunction with the Techna-Duc insulation system.

These enclosures are fabricated with 16-gauge steel with durable gray, polyester, powder-coated finish for added protection against rust and corrosion. The slip-on removable cover is secured with a pair of plated steel screws along the bottom edge. The enclosure also has a provision for a padlock to protect the entire unit against unauthorized tampering.

Convenient knock-outs are located along the bottom to facilitate the connection of all types of electrical conduits and casings. Insulation is attached to the back of the box and is weather sealed. This design will prevent condensation build up with in the box and work in conjunction with PTM Manufacturing Techna- Duc® Insulation System.

Screw vs. Hinge

Screw covers have 2 screws to hold cover in place.
Hinge has continuous galvanized steel hinge, removable inner panel and mounting slots.
